Our Multi-Generational Legacy
Real estate has been the true
cornerstone of the Briggs family for over 60 years. The family legacy originally began back in 1960 when Ben R. Briggs founded a luxury boutique real estate firm in Dallas, Texas. Carrying that torch forward, grandson Ben A. Briggs later led the international arm of the firm and served as its CFO for several years. That firm, Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty, ultimately grew to close over $20 billion of real estate transactions to date. Today, Ben brings his own 14 years of direct real estate experience to Briggs Capital Investments. Over the last decade alone, Ben and his teammates have helped an extensive list of institutional and high-net-worth investors successfully close around $300 million in real estate assets, offering partners an elite standard of industry expertise.
The Freedom Place Initiative & Core Values
At the heart of our company is the Freedom Place project, an initiative originally founded by Ben Briggs in 2016. Driven by a vision of "profit for purpose," Freedom Place aims to utilize highly profitable commercial real estate development and cash flow to generate significant profits for the fight against human trafficking. Our BHAG audacious goal is to build a dedicated team capable of generating $50 million over the next 15 years to combat this modern injustice. Briggs Capital Investments is currently developing modern flex warehouse space situated along the Interstate 10 corridor in Boerne. Designed to support the growing commercial needs of Kendall County, this development combines highly functional workspace with community focused design. A significant portion of the developer’s profits will go to fighting human trafficking.
